Located in Igatpuri on Mumbai-Agra Highway, Vipassana International Academy is 136 km away from Mumbai and just 45 km away from Nashik, It is also known as Dhamma Giri Meditation Centre. Established in 1976 by S N Goenka, Vipassana International Academy teaches an ancient meditation technique which was rediscovered by Gautama Buddha around 2,500 years ago. Tringalwadi Fort
The Tringalwadi Fort is an architectural marvel located at a height of about 3000 ft amidst the Sahayadri hill range is on of the major attraction of Igatpuri. The fort offers a mesmerizing view of the surrounding region. This fort is popular among hikers and trekkers along with the nearby Kalsubaia nd Kulang mountain ranges.
